Course Overview

  • In 2022, the Journal of Personality Assessment published a seminal review of Rorschach and R-PAS in legal contexts. Led by Dr. Donald Viglione, a multidisciplinary team of experts surveyed scientific literature, case law, clinician surveys, and psychological case studies. Their comprehensive analysis concluded that R-PAS meets standards for legal admissibility.

This half-day workshop builds on this foundational research, providing psychologists with essential knowledge for selecting and applying R-PAS in forensic settings. Topics covered include:

    - Overview of legal standards for admissibility
    - R-PAS characteristics relevant to admissibility concerns
    - Evidence for R-PAS's general acceptance and scientific considerations
    - Addressing admissibility concerns specific to R-PAS
    - Best practices for R-PAS application in forensic contexts
    - Case study illustrating effective R-PAS use

Prior to the event, participants will receive an email with:

    - Complementary articles for reading (optional)
    - Link to participate in the workshop via Zoom platform
